Born to Teach
There is something in my life that I feel deeply fortunate about, something that, I am sure, few people in this world have had the privilege of experiencing. Since I was a child, I found a path, a unique refuge, an escape, and at the same time, a connection with what, for me, was and still is a moment full of harmony. I have been a teacher for as long as I can remember, although officially since I was six years old. At that time, I didn’t need titles or credentials. I had what mattered most, what no teacher should ever lose: a love and passion for what they do.
As a child, animals were my world. Each one of them played a unique and crucial role in my life. Without knowing it, they gave me an invaluable treasure: the discovery of a purpose, a path, and the future that would come. I had a rabbit named Arón, the most distracted. A turtle, Pepa, the most diligent. A chick named Pillín, as restless as none. And Luna, my wise and loyal dog. They were my first students and, at the same time, my greatest teachers.
Every afternoon, I gathered them in the backyard. I would hug them and enjoy their warmth, their company, their tenderness. I would teach them for hours, imagine activities, speak to them firmly but kindly, and in my heart, there was only one goal: for them to feel loved, safe, and to learn. I wanted them to take something from me, something they could remember and do even when I wasn’t around.
International Experience
I learned that love breaks all barriers, whether they are of language, culture, or species. That without love, nothing flourishes. That each being learns in their own way and that we all have something special and unique to offer.
By those “coincidences” life gives you, I became a teacher at a very young age. Teaching languages was the path life laid before me. Today, after more than 20 years, I continue discovering with each student and each family the magic of doing things with love and passion. I have helped children from different parts of the world shine and learn Spanish and English. And it’s not just about vocabulary or grammar; it’s about seeing how, as they learn, a child gains confidence and self-esteem as they progress, as they dare to dream, to express what they had never said, or even thought in their native language.
That is teaching, an act of transformation and trust. It’s believing that everything, absolutely everything in life, can be learned if done with passion and dedication. I sincerely hope that your children or students can be part of my projects; I am here to help them grow and reach their goals with every tool I offer.
